Guinness World Records judge Pravin Patel said the “zip line” is a new item in the world record.

Officiating at the opening of the new zip line on May 12, Penang Head of State Tun Ahmad Fauzi said that with the reopening of our borders, he hopes Penang will reach its maximum potential as an international tourist attraction and an internationally recognized center for modern business, information technology, healthcare and education.
He also hoped that Penang’s business organizations would look to the “World’s Fairyland” to create world-class facilities.

Sim Chee Kheng, founder of the World Escape Park theme park, said the park wanted to add a new facility for visitors to experience flying as early as June 2020 and was not bent on breaking the world record, and the arrival of the epidemic posed a challenge for them.
“We believed the epidemic would one day end, but then the action control order continued and we simply lengthened the zip line even further to its current length of 1,135 meters.”
