Vaccination centers across the country are not accepting walk-ins for vaccinations!
To avoid overcrowding, vaccination centers across the country are suspending walk-in vaccinations, according to ProtectHealth, as quoted by China Daily. People are being urged to go to MySejahtera appointments for booster shots.
Last week, the Ministry of Health announced that the interval between Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines would be shortened to three months after the second dose of the vaccine. This announcement has made a large number of people eligible for the booster, and vaccination centers in the country have started to be overcrowded.
Although ProtectHealth announced the suspension of walk-in vaccinations, a sample of vaccination centers called by China Daily found that some are still open for walk-in vaccinations, while some allow people to walk in and make appointments to become waitlists.
According to a message from the Ministry of Health, people do not need to make their own appointments for booster shots, as the Ministry will arrange appointments for eligible people through MySejahtera. Eligible individuals will be notified of their appointments in January and February and will be urged to check MySejahtera.
If you do not want to wait for an appointment with MySejahtera, you can contact the relevant hospital or clinic to arrange an appointment yourself. The hospital or clinic will place your name on a waiting list and contact you for a booster shot once a spot becomes available.
