On April 7, 2023, when Anwar was speaking at the University of Technology Mara (UiTM), some students reportedly claimed that they were too old to receive the digital red envelope assistance. This is due to the fact that many underage college students will not be able to benefit from the RM200 e-wallet subsidy that the government will disburse, as Anwar said earlier when he presented the 2023 budget.
The government would make sure that the given e-wallet allowance will benefit all present college students, and no college students will be missing, Anwar decided immediately after hearing the student’s concern.
