Touch ‘n Go eWallet, BigPay and ShopeePay all support the DuitNow payment function. This will make it easier and more secure for users to top up their eWallets.

How do you usually top up your eWallet? I believe many people will choose to top up their e-wallets via their bank cards, i.e. entering their card details in the e-wallet and then swiping their card to top up their e-wallets. Some of you will choose Online Banking, which means that you log in to your bank account in your eWallet and then transfer money to your eWallet by FPX.

However, both of these methods carry the risk of card or bank account information being compromised. When topping up your eWallet, consider using DuitNow. Touch ‘n Go eWallet and BigPay have their own DuitNow IDs, while ShopeePay can use your cell phone number as your DuitNow ID.

Getting a Touch ‘n Go eWallet DuitNow ID is as simple as opening Touch ‘n Go eWallet and going to the Profile function, where you will see a set of DuitNow IDs. You can click the Copy button on the right to copy the DuitNow ID.

To get a BigPay DuitNow ID, open BigPay and click Settings, then you will see a set of DuitNow IDs. Click the Copy button on the right to copy the DuitNow IDs.

ShopeePay’s DuitNow ID can only be a cell phone number, so if your cell phone number is already used as a DuitNow ID for another e-wallet or bank account, you will not be able to use DuitNow to receive payments in ShopeePay.

Once the user has obtained the DuitNow ID for their e-wallet, they can open the transfer function of their bank app and select DuitNow Transfer. After entering the DuitNow ID of your eWallet, you can transfer money to your eWallet in the same way as you normally would. The eWallet will receive the amount immediately.

Here we recommend that you confirm that the recipient is your name after entering your eWallet DuitNow ID to avoid the trouble of transferring to the wrong account.
