Air Selangor reports that water supply to the Klang Valley has been restored 1 hour ahead of schedule.

According to Air Selangor, the water supply outage in the Klang Valley that began at 3 p.m. yesterday has been entirely restored as of 8 a.m. today.

Restoration was planned to commence only at 9 a.m. today, according to the water utility, which claims to be the country’s largest operator.

According to Air Selangor, the company would like to thank customers for their patience and cooperation during this unplanned water supply outage.

On the second day of Hari Raya Aidifiltri, an odour pollution at the Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station caused an unscheduled water disruption in 472 areas across five districts in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya, affecting the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant and the Bukit Tampoi Treatment Plant.

Last Saturday, the same raw water pump station was briefly shut down due to a similar odour pollution.
