Malaysia has shut down 3G network services at present, which means that the whole country will not be able to use 3G networks at present, and can only use 4G or 5G networks to surf the Internet, or 2G networks can also be used to make and receive calls.
And many people also complained that the 4G signal in their own area is often unstable. In the past, when the 4G signal was weak, it would switch to accepting the 3G network (H or H+). Although the network speed is relatively slow, it can still continue to surf the Internet.
However, now that the 3G network has been closed, once the 4G network is unstable, it will be directly converted to 2G network (E) or G (GPRS), and even no service will appear directly, so it is impossible to access the Internet at all!
And if you switch to 2G network, not only will you not be able to access the Internet, but even the quality of the call will be affected. If you make a call under the 2G network, of course, the call quality will not be as good as the 3G or 4G network.
Therefore, it is hoped that the authorities should improve 4G network services as soon as possible after closing the 3G network while waiting for the construction of the 5G network, especially the quality of the 4G network in rural or remote areas.
