Due to the continuous rain, Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan are on “yellow” alert.
Following a warning from the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the State and District Disaster Management Committees in Sabah and Sarawak have been activated and will raise their level of preparation (MET Malaysia).
The Persistent Rain (Yellow) warning from MET Malaysia for various places in Sarawak, including Mukah (Matu, Dalat, and Mukah), Bintulu (Tatau, and Bintulu), Miri (Subis, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang, prompted the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) to issue the order.
The warning, which was issued last night at 11 p.m., also applies to Labuan and a number of locations in Sabah, including the interiors of Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, and Beaufort, as well as the West Coast and Kudat.
The article stated that “Nadma would continuously monitor the situation of technical information parameters in coordination with various technical authorities through the National Disaster Control Centre (NDCC)”.
