After the lively 9-day Lunar New Year school holiday, schools will resume classes and life will be back to normal.
Are you looking forward to the next long school holiday? The next long school holiday will fall at the end of February, which means that schools will enjoy a 23-day final holiday after 3 weeks.
According to the Ministry of Education’s school schedule of classes and holidays, primary and secondary schools will have 23 or 24 days of final holidays between the end of February and mid-March. This will be the first year that primary and secondary schools will have their final holidays at the end of February.
Schools in state group A (Johor, Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah) will be closed from February 25 to March 20 and the new school year will start on March 21, while schools in state group B (other states) will enjoy a 23-day final holiday from February 26 to March 20 and the new school year will start on March 21.
From 2022 onwards the new school year for primary and secondary schools will start in March and each school year will have 3 semesters. The 1st semester will be from March 21 to June 11/12, the 2nd semester will be from June 12/13 to September 10/11, and the 3rd semester will be from September 11/12 to March 11/12.
