Everyone must saves the Malayan tiger.

Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, the Regent of Pahang, today urged all parties to continue their efforts to conserve the Malayan tiger, which is currently in danger of going extinct.

In addition to the government, young people can contribute by fully utilising information technology to enlighten the public about the value of tigers and their habitat to the forest ecosystem as well as the challenges they face.

While there are laws in place to protect wildlife and forests, in his opinion, efforts to stop poaching operations would be useless without adequate and tighter enforcement.

Tengku Hassanal also discussed the conservation initiatives for Malayan tigers in Pahang, such as the creation of the Pahang Wildlife Committee under the Pahang State Biodiversity Council, which is in charge of the coordinated efforts to stop poaching in the state.

In addition, the “Save the Malayan Tiger” campaign has contributed to increasing public awareness of the need to preserve the species, in keeping with the National Tiger Conservation Task Force’s initiatives (MyTTF).

Tengku Hassanal is also optimistic that the Malayan tiger population can grow as a result of current conservation initiatives.

The success of nations like Nepal, India, Bhutan, China, and Russia in growing their tiger population through aggressive conservation initiatives with effective cooperation from all parties.
