According to MB, around 300 flood victims were relocated to eight relief centres in Selangor during an evening downpour.

Following heavy rain this evening, flooding flooded several sections of Selangor, forcing nearly 300 individuals from 56 families to be evacuated to eight temporary relief centres (PPS).

Dewan Camelia Seksyen 10 Putra Height, SK Puchong Indah, Dewan Batu 3, Dewan Kampung Seri Aman, Dewan Puchong Jaya, Dewan MPS Kampung Melayu Sri Kundang, Dewan PJS 2C/6, and Dewan PJS 1/35 were among the eight relief centres opened, according to Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari in a Twitter post.

He said the Subang Jaya City Council’s Skuad Pantas had been dispatched to Seri Kembangan’s Kampung Tengah, Kampung Baru Seri Kembangan, Taman Kinrara 1, Taman Kinrara 4, and Puncak Jalil 8 for help.

Floodwaters are slowly decreasing in some of the impacted districts, according to Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis.

He also mentioned that Kampung Gombak, Kampung Melayu Kundang, and Kampung Melayu Sungai Serai in Batu Arang, Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh, Kampung Melayu, Sungai Buloh, and Kampung Gombak Kuang, Rawang, were among the locations affected, with over 50 properties affected.

Persiaran Hamzah Alang, Kapar town, Jalan Teratai, Taman Meru Daya, Jalan Sesenduk Meru, Jalan Cempaka, and Jalan Paip were all hit by flash floods in the Klang region.
