In August, Putrajaya will have cheaper chicken

According to Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, residents of Putrajaya would be able to purchase regular chicken beginning August 1 for RM8.50 per kilogram, which is less expensive than the existing limit price of RM9.40.

Precinct 20 now has a chicken slaughterhouse, which is necessary for the success of this program.

As a slaughterhouse, they are utilizing Precinct 20’s existing warehouse.

On July 14, MyGrocer@Wilayah sales fairs were launched in Kuala Lumpur and Labuan. In Kuala Lumpur, the initiative was carried out through stores chosen by Labuan Corporation, while in Labuan, it was executed directly from suppliers to housing communities.

Shahidan stated that the ministry expects 500,000 attendees to the 12th annual Royal Floria Putrajaya Flower and Garden Festival, which will take place from August 29 to September 4 at Anjung Floria, Precinct 4, as opposed to 150,000 in 2019.

He stated that the festival will feature over 400,000 flowers and plants of various varieties from the nation and abroad under the theme Awesome Floria.

The festival’s conception and execution complemented the federal government’s administrative center’s vision for itself as a “intelligent garden city” that mixes nature and the built environment with a diversity of vibrant flora.

The festival this time has definitely brought back the excitement after a two-year absence owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, as this event has its own enthusiasts.

The annual event was conducted in connection with Putrajaya’s 25th Silver Jubilee and the 65th National Day celebrations. It was organized by the Putrajaya Corporation in partnership with the Ministry of Federal Territories and Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.
