According to the Daily Mail, Olivia Naserian, a 24-year-old Kenyan lady, stabbed and killed her 2-year-old daughter, Glory Njeri, in their house. She then dissected herself and devoured her liver.
When neighbors heard Glory’s screams, they ran to the house, thinking Olivia’s family was being attacked. They were shocked to witness Olivia naked, grabbing a knife, and singing nursery rhymes while stabbing her daughter repeatedly. They phoned the cops right away.
According to another neighbor, Olivia was chanting,
“Baby, you will never cry again, you will forever sleep.”
“I love you, my daughter,”
she said as she devoured Glory’s liver and other organs in full view of everyone. Despite their efforts to rescue Glory’s life, she had already died.
When the cops arrived, Olivia was arrested on suspicion of murder, and the body was sent to the Kitengela Hospital mortuary for examination. The judge ordered her detention for 10 days until the next hearing on May 8th at her court appearance on the 26th.
Benson Mutia, the head of the Kitengela Directorate of Criminal Investigations, claimed that “we believe the court will give us more time to investigate this matter” and that Olivia’s mental state will be examined to establish whether she was of sound mind.
