17/04/2023

According to “Sin Chew Daily,” a woman in Malaysia accidentally deposited RM1,000 to a stranger, but because she was too introverted to notify the bank or the police, sparking a flurry of heated debates on the Internet.

The woman @nodrohzomono, who shared the story on Twitter, said:

“I transferred RM1,000 to the wrong account by accident, and I was too shy to call the bank or the police.” Things have already happened, so forget about it and enjoy yourself; I wish you a joyful Hari Raya Aidilfitri in advance.”

Although we have no idea who this “lucky guy” is, the author’s post has sparked a lot of debate among netizens. Some encourage her to make a report, while others leave their bank account numbers in the hopes that the next lucky one will be them.

—”I also transferred the incorrect account.” In actuality, it merely takes two simple steps: report the details to the police and then phone the bank, who will send someone to Settle. Last time, it took me two months to receive the transfer returned from the bank. Give me the cash.”

—”Sister, I, too, am an introvert. I also attempted to transfer the incorrect RM200 to others, contact the bank directly, and finally report the crime at the police station. I reported the wrong case the first time, so I went to report twice. After a year, I received my money back.”

— “By mistake, someone transferred money to my bank account; the bank called me, and the money was transferred back to the other party.”

– “The next time you make a mistake, transfer to this account: Maybank 1621xxxxxxxx.”

—”By mistake, please transfer to my account.”

After too many netizens urged her to act, the author also made clear that she will contact the bank and call upon the police.

It is hard for timid and introverted people to chat on the phone or report to the police, but money is vital!
