Anwar continued, saying that while the nation’s project implementation efficiency appeared to be at a “good level” at this point, project approval processes could move more quickly.
According to him, civil servants should receive more training and exposure to planning and strategies for handling problems arising from the execution of projects in particular fields.
“The speed at which decisions are approved after they are made is one of our challenges. Yes, we have discussed and looked into it, but there is an issue with our tardiness in approving projects across the nation, not just in Kuala Lumpur.
It’s critical that decisions be approved quickly. Delays in approving lead to problems.
“This is what is known as the ease of doing business, which refers to the speed of approval following consideration of all regulations and examination prior to granting approval,” he said.
According to him, PSKL2040 must also take into account the most recent demands and issues of the day, including the significance of the energy transition, green sustainability, and problems with electric vehicles, among other things.
“We can keep all of the new plans and framework structures that we agreed upon, but they need to add value.
Anwar stated, “This includes ensuring it is more inclusive and making it more people-friendly.”
He also praised DBKL and its staff for being open to hearing different points of view from the public, lawmakers, non-governmental organisations, and political leaders.
