The government may issue targeted subsidies in the form of monthly cash transfers.
According to information from Economy Minister Rafizi, the government is considering implementing targeted subsidies by distributing cash, so that beneficiaries can receive monthly subsidies through their bank accounts.
The government opened the PADU central database in January to allow Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above to check and update their information. The government will implement targeted subsidy measures based on the information in the PADU central database. Only qualified people can continue to enjoy the subsidies provided by the government.
