TOKYO: A man in his twenties was detained after attacking three young women with a knife in downtown Kumamoto, southwest Japan, on Friday (March 22), according to local media.
At around 9.15 a.m. local time, three ladies estimated to be in their teens or 20s were stabbed and injured in a building near Kumamoto City Hall. According to Xinhua and NHK, all three were conscious when transferred to the hospital.
Officers later arrested a 29-year-old male who was discovered nearby for attempted murder, according to the report.
