A couple who are nearly 70 years old are fans of Nasi Kandar. They have been dining together at Nasi Kandar for a long time and have become regular customers for a long time.
The owner of Sulaiman nasi kandar in Penang said that the couple only ordered boiled eggs and lady’s finger rice on a pole each time, and together with drinks, the two of them spent less than 10 ringgit.
He said that although the vegetarian nasi kandar that the couple ordered was not worth mentioning compared with other nasi kandar that was heavy on fish and meat, the couple was always content with what they had and they were happy to have a cheap meal.
“Even if the food is cheap and simple, they are still happy and grateful to have a companion by their side… They are a model for all couples.”
In addition, the nasi kandar owner also shared in another post the cheapest nasi kandar, which is rice with a boiled egg and curry sauce, and the price is only RM1.50.
A few days ago, when an Indian customer visited the restaurant, he stacked three plates of food and paid a total of RM218, breaking the price record for the most expensive nasi kandar and surprising netizens.
Some people humorously said that if they can’t challenge the most expensive record, then they have to challenge the cheapest record.
Netizens saw this nasi kandar serving of RM1.50 and were eager to try it.
“Even if it doesn’t have too many ingredients, as long as it can fill your stomach.”
