MBSB launches the most worthwhile time deposit offer at this stage.
According to information on the official website of MBSB, a time deposit discount will be launched from January 15 to February 29, 2024. Users can choose to deposit time deposits for 6 months or 12 months, and can enjoy up to 5.85% p.a. .
When users deposit this time deposit offer, they need to divide the money into two parts, that is, 25% is deposited into the savings account and 75% is deposited into the time deposit account.
Users can enjoy 5.31% p.a. when depositing fixed deposits for 6 months. After taking into account the money deposited into the savings account, the effective interest rate they can enjoy is 4.00% p.a.
Users can enjoy a 12-month time deposit discount of 5.85% p.a., and after including the money deposited into the savings account, the effective interest rate they can enjoy is 4.40% p.a.
The minimum deposit amount for this time deposit offer is RM10,000, which must be deposited through MBSB’s counter.
After taking into account the money deposited into the savings account, you can also enjoy a final interest rate of 4.00%p.a. to 4.40%p.a., which is worth compared to the pure time deposit offers offered by other banks. Nowadays, few banks are willing to offer time deposit discounts exceeding 4% p.a.
