With the successful progress of the water pump pressure test of the water pipes at the bottom of the Perai River, the second phase of the water supply restoration plan was launched at 6 o’clock this morning, and 495,065 users will have their water supply restored.
The Penang Water Supply Corporation stated in a Facebook post this morning that the second phase of the water supply restoration plan will be launched at 6 am this morning, and the Sungai Dua Water Treatment Plant is optimizing the pumping of water to consumers on Penang Island.
“The plan aims to restore water supply to 495,065 customers at 6 am tomorrow morning.”
The post also stated that areas close to the Bukit Dumbar Reservoir and Pumping Station Complex will begin to receive water supply, and will gradually expand to the southern part of the southwestern district.
