Anwar tells ministries: Take a bolder, different approach to initiatives.
PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim believes ministries should take a fresh, bolder approach to project implementation.
He then stated that the nation’s stability should be completely utilised to improve the country’s image.
“I believe that our government is stable. Because of this stability, we intend to fully implement projects to elevate our country’s dignity,” he said, according to Bernama.
Anwar stated that policies that benefit all will remain, but the approach will be different.
“That’s why, for example, we don’t continue with direct negotiations to avoid confusion and misuse,” he said.
Anwar stated this in his speech to the monthly assembly of the Prime Minister’s department workers on Monday (Jan 8), which was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and other ministers.
Aside from Fadillah, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform), and Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), were also in attendance.
Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, the Chief Secretary to the Government, was also in attendance.
Regarding the Central Database Hub (PADU), which was inaugurated on January 2, Anwar stated that the government will make many adjustments depending on public feedback.
PADU comprises individual and household profiles of Malaysian citizens and permanent residents; it is an integrated national socioeconomic database that incorporates data from government departments and agencies to provide a complete picture of every Malaysian household’s socioeconomic situation.
