Petronas stations: Full diesel supply restoration in two days

All impacted Petronas stations will have their diesel supply fully restored, according to a statement from Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDG).

The company said in a statement today that the restoration would take place in the upcoming two days.

“We are dedicated to providing our esteemed clients with uninterrupted services while also improving and simplifying their lives. Additionally, we value your understanding and patience during this brief interruption, the statement read.

The company announced on Tuesday that it was experiencing a diesel stock out at a number of its stations across the country. The issue is anticipated to last until December 31, 2023.

The recent supply disruption that affected a large number of Petronas gas stations throughout the state and Sabah has left the Sarawak Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN) in the dark. Petronas has not yet provided the ministry with any information regarding the type and scope of the supply problems, so KPDN is unaware of the circumstances.

Even though Petronas hasn’t released an official statement, KPDN Sarawak is still taking the initiative to resolve the matter. The ministry’s Enforcement Division is actively involved in carrying out exhaustive and ongoing inspections of every gas station in the impacted areas.
