On Thursday (Nov. 23), World No. 11 Lee Zii Jia advanced to the China Masters quarterfinals in Shenzhen with impressive tennis.
Zii Jia defeated Lu Guangzu of China in an exciting 40-minute second round match, winning 21-10, 21-12.
The independent shuttler has made up for his defeats in the opening stages of the Japan Masters in Kumamoto and the French Open in Rennes by performing admirably in China.
With a strong performance, Zii Jia should have a decent chance of making it to the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Finals, which will take place in Hangzhou from December 13–17. There, the top eight men’s singles players will compete for titles.
