The boy told prosecutors, “I felt it was not very normal to do this with my teacher, but it felt good, so I still wanted to have sex with her.”
The boy’s testimony, according to the prosecution, corroborated that of witnesses, including teachers who Xu had asked to have the victim stay back after class, and he also provided descriptions of the locations where the sex acts had occurred.
When the boy’s father reported to the police in September 2020, after learning of his son’s intimate relationship with the teacher, the immorality was exposed. The boy had already started junior high school at that point.
Following the filing of the police report, Xu’s school suspended her.
Prosecutors were informed by Xu, in her defence, that she had only ever had sex with the boy—who was taller and heavier—and that it was he who had coerced her into doing so.
Xu described an incident that happened in May 2020, saying, “I was pushed to the ground and hit my head, at one point losing my consciousness.”
“At the moment, I felt paralysed and had no idea what had happened. My lower body hurt and was bleeding when I woke up, and I realised what he had done to me.
She said that was the only occasion they had sex and that he was the one who conceived her. She also said that the boy had fabricated the other sex scenes.
Prosecutors in Taoyuan stated that following DNA testing on samples taken from baby-used items like milk bottles and a dummy, investigators concluded there was a 99 percent chance the student was the child’s father.
In a ruling, the district court judges stated that Xu had taken advantage of her student’s immature understanding of romantic and sexual relationships to her advantage and forced him to participate in obscene sexual activities.
Xu has 20 days starting on November 9, the day she was sentenced, to file an appeal of the ruling.
