2-Year-Old Girl in Malaysia Dies in Car Due to Negligence.

24/11/2023

Being a parent is a difficult job, and even a small amount of negligence can have disastrous consequences!

Recently, a two-year-old girl passed away after her mother abandoned her in the car for seven hours! Because the girl’s mother was preoccupied with online work, she mistook her daughter’s location for school, which resulted in this tragic

According to Astro AWANI , Petaling Jaya District Chief of Police Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that they received a call from the victim’s mother in her 30s at 3:49 pm, saying that her child was unconscious at home.

“The investigation found that the victim’s mother dropped off her two children at school at 7 a.m. and then went to a nearby kindergarten to drop off the girl.”

Reportedly, the mother forgot her child was still in the car when she paused briefly to take care of business online after arriving at the kindergarten. The mother of the victim then went back home, but she didn’t find out until 3:35 p.m., by which time the child had passed out.

The girl was eventually taken to Sungai Buloh Hospital, where she was declared dead, after her father called the emergency hotline right away. However, it was too late.

The Children Act of 2001, Section 31, is the basis for the investigation into this case. Using this occasion, Mohamad Fakhrudin also reminded parents to put their children’s safety first at all times and to be vigilant and accountable.

I think the girl’s mother should be extremely sorry. I’m calling on parents once more to remember to raise their kids well in order to prevent another tragedy! Section 31 of the Children Act of 2001 provides the legal framework for the current inquiry into this tragic case. With its particular provisions, this legislation emphasizes how crucial it is to protect children’s welfare and prioritize their needs and safety above all else. The reminder from Mohamad Fakhrudin to parents is a moving appeal for action. He highlights the vital role that parents play in ensuring the wellbeing of their kids as well as the necessity of ongoing watchfulness and accountability.

The tragic event serves as a sobering reminder of what can happen when carelessness is allowed to continue. It makes sense that the girl’s mother would be overcome with grief and struggling to accept the full responsibility for what she had done. We share a common hope as a society that similar agonizing tragedies can be prevented in the future. Mohamad Fakhrudin makes a heartfelt appeal to parents, asking them to put their kids’ safety and upbringing first in order to prevent any more deaths from neglect. This call to action strikes a deep chord, reaffirming our shared dedication to safeguarding our kids’ welfare and averting more tragedies.
