Proton’s new 4-door saloon will be released in the next 2 months!
According to the news revealed by Proton’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lee Chun-Wing, Proton will be releasing a 4-door saloon in the next 2 months and the car that is expected to be released is the Proton S50.
The Proton S50 will most likely be released in December, and will be priced between RM70,000 and RM100,000, which means it will be cheaper than the Proton X50, but slightly higher than the Proton Persona.
From what has been revealed on the internet so far, the Proton S50 will use the same engine and transmission as the Proton X50, and may be based on the same BMA platform as the Proton X50, although the body dimensions may be somewhere between the B-Segment and C-Segment.
The Proton S50 will be a four-door saloon based on the Geely DeLorean, which could replace the discontinued Proton Preve or Proton Inspira.
