In an effort to accumulate frequent flyer points, a mother and child from Singapore used their weekend to fly hundreds of kilometres to the United States before returning immediately to Singapore.
On the video-sharing website “Amadillos,” a recent film that followed their voyage from Singapore to the US appeared. Instead of staying and exploring the United States after their arrival, they departed for Singapore on another aeroplane. Additionally, they took all of their flights in first or business class. Then they took the “The Room,” an All Nippon Airways trip that flew from Tokyo to San Francisco. They spent just 12 hours in San Francisco before boarding another aeroplane back to Tokyo and returning the same way they had come.
During their journey, “Amadillos” also shared the challenges they faced explaining the rapid flight changes to immigration officials in San Francisco. The in-flight dining options and plush seats offered by Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways were contrasted in the video.
According to the report, “Amadillos” revealed to viewers how their three-day voyage, which covered 29,904 kilometers, mainly consisted of eating and resting, which led to weight gain, once they arrived in Singapore.
The mother and child were criticized for flaunting their behavior and exhibiting a lack of regard for the environment by numerous internet users as soon as the video was released.
“So, you’re wealthy, but not just any kind of wealthy.”
“What about the carbon dioxide emissions?”
“I understand there may be reasons to fly, but not like this.”
“Your miles are not more important than the environment.”
