Taylor Swift Fan Offering Contact Lens that Witnessed the Eras Tour for $10,000

12/05/2023

Swifties, pay attention! Your good fortune may be with you today, or it may have been. Recently, there was an intriguing Taylor Swift fan phenomenon.

It seems that after seeing one of Taylor Swift’s shows, a particularly creative fan had an idea. They posted an unusual item for sale on the digital marketplace Depop: a set of contact lenses they said they had worn while on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. And sure, the seller’s own eye fluid was purportedly present in these contact lenses.

The contact lenses, according to the listing, were “used” but in “excellent condition.” The listing has now been taken down. Even more outrageously, the merchant said you could pretend you were at the concert by wearing them. It is important to note that it is not advised and could be harmful to your health to put someone else’s contact lenses in your eyes.

Unsurprisingly, responses to this odd listing were conflicting. Some of the admirers laughed at it and praised the seller’s spirit of entrepreneurship, calling it “hustle” and “business savvy.” Others thought it was unpleasant and gross, including the author of this article (who also happens to be a Swiftie). The comments varied from “unhinged” to “disgusting” and “weird.”

Even so, several fans showed genuine interest in buying the contact lenses, demonstrating their devotion to Taylor Swift. However, it was later discovered that the listing was a prank, and the seller insisted they had never planned to actually sell them.
