After Toyota launched the Vios car model in 2003, Vios has always been the best-selling car model under the brand. After 9 years, Toyota finally launched the fourth-generation Vios! This new car will be divided into two grades, 1.5E and 1.5G, and both are self-typesetting (Auto Transmission Car), priced at RM89,600 and RM95,500.
The new Toyota Vios is available in 5 body colours, including Silver Metallic, Attitude Black, Nebula Blue Metallic, Spicy Scarlet and Platinum White Pearl (an additional RM400 is required). The body of the new Vios is slightly larger than the previous generation of Vios. The length of the car has increased by 5mm to 4425mm, the model has increased by 10mm to 1740mm, and the body’s height has also increased by 5mm to 1480mm. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the car’s wheelbase has increased by 70mm to 2620mm compared with the previous generation, which makes the rear seat space more spacious, especially the knee space.
As for the power part, the fourth-generation Vios is still equipped with a 1.5L dual VVT-i four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, which is currently used in Perodua Myvi and Alza. This engine has a maximum horsepower of 106 and a maximum torque of 138Nm. It has a 7-speed CVT gearbox and uses a front-wheel drive system. The original factory claims this model has better fuel efficiency, reaching 5.2L/100km.
In terms of other equipment, the new Vios series will be equipped with automatic LED headlights and daytime running lights as standard and have the function of Follow Me Home, LED taillights (the entry version is only half-LED), side mirrors with automatic folding, and integrated steering Lights and blind spot detection system; in addition, the 1.5G version will be equipped with 17-inch multi-spoke two-colour wheels, while the entry-level 1.5E is 16 inches.
The car uses dark brown and brown two-tone for the interior as the dashboard design. The 1.5E has cloth seats and a 4.2-inch driving information display screen. The top 1.5G version will have a leather-covered multifunctional steering wheel and shift paddles. , 7-inch digital electronic instrument panel, 64-colour cabin ambient light, electronic handbrake and Auto Hold, etc. At the same time, the top 1.5G version will also be equipped with fully leather-covered seats, including the central armrest and gear lever.
It is worth mentioning that the whole car series has three driving modes (Normal, Eco, Power), a 9-inch central control screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 3 USB charging ports, a 3D panoramic camera lens, rear seat Air-conditioning outlets and expanded rear compartment space with foldable partitions.
