No incentive, a lesser allowance, and only an RM15 lunch treat after 4 years of work!
A Malaysian man recently posted a complaint on the internet claiming that after working for a company for 4 years, he had never earned a bonus and that even if he had met performance goals, the employer would only pay him RM15 for lunch as compensation.
The man said in his article that, since he has been employed by this company for more than 4 years, not only has there been an ongoing limited availability of work, but even benefits like commissions, allowances, and overtime pay have been reduced. The employer hasn’t given out a bonus in four years!
Along with reducing a variety of benefits, management is continuously pressuring staff to achieve the performance targets set in the context of a personnel shortage.
Even if the target is met, the company just offers a lunch as reward. The referred to as reward, the man stated is actually a lunch that costs each employee RM15 rather than a costly meal.
