1. Public Holidays
There will be 3 public holidays in February, but all 3 holidays are restricted to specific states.
February 1 (Wednesday): Federal Territory Day (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan only)
February 5 (Sunday): Thaipusam Day (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Penang and Selangor only)
18 February (Saturday): Muharram Migration Day (Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Perlis and Terengganu only)
2. School Holidays
Primary and secondary schools will be able to enjoy up to 30 days of final school holidays starting February 17/18 and the new school year will start on March 18/19.
Group A (Johor, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan): 17 February – 18 March 2023
Group B (Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya): 18 February – 19 March 2023
3. Internet Solidarity Prepaid Package
Domestic telecommunication companies will launch the Internet Solidarity Prepaid Plan in February, which offers 30GB of Internet data for only RM30 for 6 months. Through the Internet Solidarity Prepaid Plan, subscribers can get 6 months of Internet data for RM30, which means an average of RM5 per month. 30GB is provided in this plan, which means an average of 5GB of Internet data per month, but the Internet speed will be limited to 3Mbps.
4. Budget
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar will present the 2023 budget on Friday, February 24.
5. Transfer of functions to the new Maybank2u
According to Maybank, several functions will be permanently removed from the classic Maybank2u website and will be transferred to the new Maybank2u version effective February 18, 2023.

11. SPM Examination

12. Film Classification
The DTA will add P12 and P16 movie classification levels from February 1. P12 is for movies suitable for people aged 12 and above, while P16 is for movies suitable for people aged 16 and above.
