Ampang LRT Line service has been delayed due to a track alignment issue.
The Ampang Line’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) service is experiencing delays due to a kinked track alignment near the Bandaraya LRT station.
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail) said in a statement today that preliminary observations revealed that the LRT service delay was caused by structural damage to the nearby flyover, which is thought to be the result of construction work.
Following that, the Ampang LRT line service will operate at a slower speed, resulting in nine-minute delays in the central business district and 18-minute delays outside the business district.
Trains from the Putra Heights station will return to the Plaza Rakyat station, while trains from the Sentul Timur station will be rerouted back to the Bandaraya station, according to Rapil Rail.
Shuttle services are available between Plaza Rakyat and Masjid Jamek stations, according to the announcement.
Alternative bus services have also been implemented to accommodate passengers travelling between the Bandaraya and Plaza Rakyat stations, as well as the Sentul Timur and Bandaraya stations.
