Secure2u has been mandated by Maybank to replace SMS TAC.
Users of Maybank, take note! Maybank has broadened the scope of Secure2u’s application.
According to Maybank, the scope of Secure2u’s use will be expanded beginning February 6, 2023, and Secure2u will be required for verification when conducting more types of transactions.
When a user uses the Maybank2u web version to make a FTT transfer, an ASNB transfer, a Maybank2u Savers Account opening, an FPX payment, a WU transfer, a TH transfer, a mobile phone transfer, a cardless withdrawal, a first Favorite transfer, a MIGA-i investment, or other deposit. Secure2u must be used for verification on irrelevant transactions.
Furthermore, when performing FTT and ASNB transfers on the MAE APP, users must also use Secure2u to verify transactions.
Maybank launched Secure2u, a security verification service. Users can receive verification pop-up windows directly on the Maybank APP when they conduct various transactions or make changes to various account settings. To complete the transaction, users simply need to click Approve or Reject in the pop-up window.
Secure2u avoids the inconvenience of not receiving an SMS and is also more secure and reliable. Secure2u is more secure than SMS TAC because it can only be used on verified mobile phones. Phones that have not been authenticated will be unable to access your Secure2u account.
