The speed limit on federal roads will be 80 km/h, and interstates will be 70 km/h. Heavy vehicles will not be permitted on the roads during the Chinese New Year holiday. This change is intended to reduce the number of traffic accidents on the highway, particularly fatal traffic accidents.
