Petrol and diesel prices stay constant.
The retail prices of RON97 and RON95 gasoline and diesel will remain unchanged from January 5 to 11.
According to the Finance Ministry, RON97 (RM3.35 per litre), RON95 (RM2.05), and diesel remain unchanged (RM2.15).
To protect consumers from the effects of rising global oil prices, the government has kept RON95 petrol at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre, despite the fact that retail prices for both products have risen above the set ceiling prices.
The automatic pricing mechanism (APM) formula was used to set the weekly retail prices.
The government will continue to monitor the effects of changes in global crude oil prices and will take appropriate steps to ensure the people’s continued welfare and well-being.
