TNG NFC cards are only valid for 7 years!
One Touch has launched the new TNG NFC card since April this year, and has been open for sale in Lazada substantially since November this year. Now most people have successfully bought this NFC-enabled TNG card.
The TNG NFC card features the ability to recharge directly through the Touch ‘n Go eWallet, without the hassle of going to a recharge station to recharge the TNG card. Users can also check the latest balance through Touch ‘n Go eWallet.
Previously, the old TNG card was valid for 10 years, but the latest TNG NFC card is only valid for 7 years, and the TNG NFC card you buy now will expire in 2029. Once the TNG NFC card expires, users will no longer be able to use the card to pay for tolls, parking fees, etc.
To find out when your TNG NFC card will expire, you can check the back of the card at the bottom left side and there will be an expiration date.
One Touch is urging people to connect their TNG NFC cards to the Touch ‘n Go eWallet, which will be frozen if users do not use their TNG NFC cards for 12 months. Users are urged to use the TNG NFC card at least once in a 12-month period.
Once the user does not use the TNG NFC card within 12 months, the TNG NFC card will be charged RM5. A fee of RM5 will be levied every 6 months thereafter until the balance of the card has been debited or the cut-off date.
