After accidentally pressing Delete for Me, you can now choose to UNDO.
According to the message sent by WhatsApp, users will have about 5 seconds after selecting Delete for Me to choose to return. If you accidentally press Delete for Me and delete the data, you can undo it.
When you choose to delete WhatsApp data, you have two options: delete for me or delete for everyone. Delete for Me deletes information from your chat history, but the other party can still see it. Delete for Everyone deletes the information in both parties’ chat histories, and both parties will no longer see the deleted information.
If you intended to select Delete for Everyone but accidentally selected Delete for Me, you still have about 5 seconds to correct the situation. That is, after clicking Delete for Me to delete the information, there will be the word UNDO at the bottom of the page, and you can click that UNDO button within 5 seconds to restore the information.
This feature has been officially launched, and you can use it by updating WhatsApp to the most recent version.
