When you’re driving on the road, I’m sure many of you hate it when a driver suddenly switches lanes without a turn signal! Now there is a way to deal with these people!
According to the official Facebook page of the Malaysian police, the posting of traffic violations pointed out that it often happens in our country that drivers suddenly change lanes without turning signals, resulting in car accidents and serious injuries to other road users.
The posting also points out that if the above-mentioned drivers cause accidents, the police can invoke section 43(1) of the Land Transport (Amendment) Act 2020 to investigate and the offenders will be charged in court.
If convicted, the driver may be fined not less than RM 5000 and not more than RM 10000 or may be imprisoned for not more than 12 months.
