PBTPay, a one-stop service for paying various councils’ taxes.
People can use PBTPay to pay their house tax and other licence fees to county and city governments across the country.
According to Nga Kor Ming, the Minister of Local Government Development, the local government online payment website PBTPay will welcome more county and city councils, expanding from the current 99 county and city councils to 155 counties City Council.
The Ministry of Local Government Development launched PBTPay, a one-stop website. People in Malaysia can pay their house registration tax, licence fee, and fines all in one place.
PBTPay currently has 2.4 million users, and people have used it to pay a total of 168 million ringgit in county and city council fees.
If you own property in multiple states or receive fines, you can pay off your tax and fee arrears with PBTPay in a single transaction. If you live in Johor but own property in Selangor, you can pay the property tax or licence fee in Selangor using PBTPay instead of travelling from Johor to Selangor.
The PBTPay website is very easy to use; simply go to https://pbtpay.kpkt.gov.my/. Then enter your ID card number to check and pay your local government taxes and fees.
