AmBank has introduced time deposits and savings/current account link offers with fixed deposit preferential interest rates of up to 7.00% p.a.
AmBank has launched a time deposit offer with an interest rate of up to 7.00%p.a., but this fixed deposit offer requires a portion of the funds to be placed in a savings or current account, so the actual interest rate available will be between 3.40% and 4.37%p.a.
If you are an advanced user of AmBank Priority Banking, you must divide the funds 50/50, which means that 50% of the funds are deposited into the fixed deposit account and 50% into the savings/current account. The deposit rate will range from 6.55% to 7.00% per annum.
Ordinary non-AmBank Priority Banking users must divide their funds 70:30, meaning that 70% is deposited in fixed deposits and 30% is deposited in savings or current accounts. Fixed deposit interest rates will range from 5.10% p.a. to 5.55% p.a.
Because the funds have been distributed, the actual available interest rate will be lower than the listed interest rate.
Those interested can deposit at a nearby AmBank branch, and the discount is valid until December 31, 2022.
