Digi is launching 5G network services now! Here’s how you can get started with 5G services.
According to Digi’s announcement, customers will be able to access 5G network services starting November 10, 2022. At this stage, Digi’s 5G network service will be available first to Digi Postpaid 90, Digi Postpaid 120, Digi Postpaid 150 and Digi Postpaid Family Unlimited packages.
If you have signed up for one of these packages, then you can start enjoying the 5G network service. If not, you will have to wait a little longer as Digi will gradually roll out the 5G network to the other packages.
In addition to ensuring that the package you sign up for supports 5G network, you need to ensure that your area is already covered by 5G network. Currently, major cities in Selangor, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Penang and Perak are already covered by 5G network.
You also need to make sure that the phone you are using supports the 5G network, most flagship phones now support 5G network services. However, the iPhone is still not yet able to use the 5G network in the country, and Apple still needs to push the 5G software update to users before they can start using the 5G network.
If you meet all the above conditions, you can open MyDigi APP and click BUY ADD-ONS, then choose to receive 5G Speed Booster at RM0.00. After you finish receiving Booster, you can start using the 5G network service.
