Maybank continues to be the largest listed company in Malaysia in terms of market capitalization!
In the past month, the global financial markets are in a volatile situation and the share prices of some of our listed companies are also falling. However, 4 of the 10 largest listed companies in Malaysia are still banks.
As of early November, the market capitalization of Maybank was RM101.857 billion, which is about RM1.977 billion less than the RM103.834 billion at the beginning of October. The second largest bank in terms of market capitalization was Public Bank, which had a market capitalization of RM84.631 billion, a slight increase from October.
As for Petronas Chemicals, which ranked third in terms of market capitalization, its market capitalization as of early November was RM68.08 billion. CIMB ranked fourth with a market capitalization of RM56.247 billion at the beginning of November.
IHH Healthcare ranked 5th with RM53.189 billion, Tenaga Nasional ranked 6th with RM48.671 billion and Hong Leong Bank ranked 7th with RM44.655 billion.
Press Metal Aluminum ranked 8th with RM36.172 billion, Petronas Gas ranked 9th with RM33.836 billion and MISC ranked 10th with RM32.139 billion in early November.
