King and Queen have arrived in Singapore for a state visit.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah arrived in the country today on a state visit that will last till October 28.
The royal couple and a Malaysian delegation, including their daughter Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafizatullah, arrived at Changi International Airport at 10.50 a.m.
Their Majesties were greeted by Singapore Education Minister Chan Chun Sing, Malaysian High Commissioner to Singapore Datuk Dr Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, and Transport Ministry Director-General Datuk Isham Ishak upon their arrival.
Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah are expected to visit the Asian Civilisations Museum and the Edible Garden City this afternoon before the Queen departs for an evening visit to the Gardens by the Bay with Tengku Puteri Afzan.
Their Majesties will be greeted with a state reception at The Istana at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
During their tour, the royal pair will also meet with Singapore President Halimah Yacob and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Long.
