Students enrolled in tertiary institutions will enjoy five days of special holidays in November.
According to the Ministry of Higher Education, as quoted by various media in the country, students studying in colleges and universities will have a special 5-day holiday from November 17 to 21. This is to allow college students to return home to vote and fulfill their civic duty.
Universities and colleges in the country must postpone classes and student activities from Nov. 17 to 21 to allow students to return home to vote.
All Malaysian citizens who have reached the age of 18 will have their names automatically appear on the electoral roll to fulfill their voting obligations.
The system will assign voters to their respective parliamentary and state constituencies based on the address on their Malaysian card. Malaysians can visit https://mysprsemak.spr.gov.my/ to check their voter information.
Polling day for the 15th National Election will fall on Saturday, November 19, while nomination day will fall on Saturday, November 5.
