Attention! Do not park your car in the yellow box at the intersection or you may be fined up to RM2000!
According to a message from the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), drivers must park in front of the yellow squares while waiting for the traffic lights. Any driver who stops his car at the yellow box will be fined up to RM2000 or imprisoned for not more than 6 months.
Usually yellow squares are painted at intersections or traffic lights. Usually, during heavy traffic jams, many drivers will park directly in the yellow box, which prevents cars from changing lanes or turning in the other direction and makes the already congested roads even more congested.
Drivers who park their cars in the yellow box are in violation of the Land Traffic Act and will be fined up to RM2000 if convicted.
We urge you to obey the traffic rules to avoid aggravating the traffic congestion.
