Minimum requirement of phone specifications for bank APPs
The National Bank has urged domestic commercial banks to take more proactive measures to stop the theft of deposits in light of the recent string of cases of deposit theft in domestic banks.
The popularity of internet banking has led to the release of smartphone applications by numerous domestic banks (APP). In order to prevent app problems that could result in the theft of users’ savings, Bank Negara has requested that banks immediately update their mobile applications.
You might not be able to use certain banking apps for a few months or a year if you’re still using an outdated phone and its operating system is a few years old.
The AMOnline APP will only be available for usage on Android phones running Android 10 or later starting in 2023, according to the most recent AmBank news. Users of Android 9 or older smartphones are no longer able to access the AmOnline APP.
The minimum version requirements for the current bank APPs are provided here.
