Nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) is a type of cancer in which cancer cells grow in the nasopharyngeal tissue. The nasopharynx is located in the upper part of the nasal cavity and the back of the throat.

 

Common symptoms of nasopharyngeal cancer include nosebleeds, tinnitus, lumps in the neck, unexplained headaches, double vision, etc. Here is how to prevent nasopharyngeal cancer.

 

How to prevent nasopharyngeal cancer

 

1. Stay away from toxic gases

Avoid inhaling insecticide aerosol, kerosene lamp gas, second-hand smoke, etc.

 

2. Pay attention to your diet

Don’t be partial to food, eat more vegetables and fruits, and take more vitamins. Try not to eat foods containing nitrosamines, such as pickled salted fish, salted sauerkraut, salted meat, canned foods containing nitrosamines. According to a survey, children under 10 years old eating salted fish will increase the chance of developing nasopharyngeal cancer.

 

3. Quit smoking

As we all know, cigarettes contain nicotine, which will be absorbed by the bronchial tubes of the mouth and nose in the process of smoking, thus inducing nasopharyngeal cancer.

 

4. Enhance resistance

Avoid overworking and reduce late night, excessive physical training and heavy physical work, which will cause a decrease in resistance.

 

5. Avoid disease invasion

Pay attention to climate change and prevent colds. Pay attention to the hygiene of the mouth and nose.
