Primary and secondary schools in the country will enjoy another 5 days of school holidays in October.
According to the Ministry of Education’s school schedule and holidays for the 2022/2023 school year, primary and secondary schools will be able to enjoy 5 days of school holidays for the month of October for Tu Deepavali . This year, Deepavali falls on Monday, October 24.
Schools in Group A states (Kedah, Johor, Kelantan and Terengganu) will enjoy the Tu Deepavali holiday from 21 October to 25 October 2022. 23 and 25 October are special holidays provided by the Ministry of Education.
Schools in Group B (other states) will enjoy a 5-day holiday from 22 October to 26 October 2022, with 25 and 26 October being special holidays provided by the Ministry of Education.
It should be noted that primary and secondary schools in Sarawak can only enjoy the holiday on October 24 (Monday) as Tu Bengal is not a public holiday in Sarawak.
Group A: 21 October 2022 (Friday) – 25 October 2022 (Tuesday)
Group B: 22 October 2022 (Saturday) – 26 October 2022 (Wednesday)
