In the face of increasingly professional and highly intelligent miscreants, coupled with the endless and also unpreventable patterns of fraud, people always worry that the next victim will be themselves. With the advancement of the times, the unscrupulous are not far behind, they keep up with the pace of technology and understand the mindset of the victims and the consumers’ greed for small gains, so they take advantage of them and move from “telecom fraud” to the life level, using the trivial things in life to lure people into the game.
In response, Malaysia has been forced to strengthen our cyber security. On September 6, the Prime Minister announced that the government will strengthen its cooperation with Microsoft Malaysia on cyber security to combat the growing incidence of cyber fraud in the country. After chairing the second meeting of the National Digital Economy and Industrial Revolution 4 Council 2022 (MED4IRN) on September 6, the Prime Minister tweeted about the government’s collaboration with Microsoft Malaysia, which includes a full range of activities such as the Awakening Forum, and the promotion of technology workshops and skills training in both the public and private sectors.
In addition to working with Microsoft Malaysia to combat cybercrime, the Prime Minister said the government will set up a sharing economy committee, led by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, to coordinate national sharing economy-related initiatives and activities from the public and private sectors, the community and academia.
