Attention! 18 roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in phases to make way for the National Day Parade!
To coincide with the National Day Parade on August 31, various roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in phases from August 26 to 31. The public is urged to avoid the relevant thoroughfares and to take public transport to reach their destinations.
Several roads will be closed from 6am to 11am from August 26 to 29, while 18 roads will be closed from 6am to 12 noon on August 31.

August 26.
1. Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin (Sultan Hishamuddin)
Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin towards Independence Square
2. Raja Road (Independence Square) (Jalan Raja)
Raja Road will be completely closed
August 27th to August 29th
1. Jalan Raja
All sections towards Raja Road (Independence Square) will be completely closed.
2. Jalan Travers
Travers Road towards Independence Square will be closed and all traffic from Montserrat will be diverted to Baisalot Road towards Parliament.
3. Jalan Damansara
The slip road from Pesaro Road towards Travis will be closed and all traffic will be diverted to Capitol Road.
4. Jalan Damansara to Bangsar (Towards Mongsar)
Travis Branch Road (towards Independence Square) and Baisaro Branch Road (towards Parliament) will be closed and all vehicles traveling from the direction of Parliament will be diverted to the direction of Bangsar.
5. Bulatan Hishamuddin (Hishamudin traffic circle)
Lengba Road (jalan lembah) (National Mosque) and Tunku Road (jalan tugu) towards Hishamuddin traffic circle will be closed, all vehicles from Congress Road towards Tangling Road (jalan tangling) will be diverted to Sadravarsi Road (Bukit Aman Mosque) and Congress Road.
6. Jalan Kinabalu to Selayang
The section of Kinabalu from Selayang to Selayang will be closed and all vehicles will continue to travel towards Luyu Road only.
7. Kinabalu Road (towards Cheras) (Jalan Kinabalu to Cheras)
Sultan Hisham Mudin Bypass (towards Independence Square), Jalan Kinabalu from Jalan Cheras towards Silayang will be closed to all traffic towards Silayang.

August 31
1. Travers Road (Jalan Travers)
Travers Road will be closed towards Independence Square and all traffic from Montserrat will be diverted towards Pasir Ris towards Parliament.
2. Jalan Damansara
Baisalot Road towards Rumph Avenue (behind the National Museum) will be closed and all traffic from Rumph Avenue will be diverted towards Parliament.
3. Jalan Damansara to Bangsar (towards Mongsar)
Travis Road (towards Independence Square) and Baisalot Bypass (towards Parliament) will be closed and all traffic from Parliament will be diverted towards Bangsar.
4. Hishamuddin Traffic Circle (Bulatan Hishamuddin)
Lembah Road (jalan lembah) (National Mosque) and Tunku Road (jalan tugu) towards Hishamuddin traffic circle will be closed and all vehicles from Parliament Road towards Tangling Road (jalan tangling) will be diverted to Sadravarsi Road (Bukit Aman Mosque) and Parliament Road.
5. Jalan Kinabalu to Selayang
The section of Kinabalu from Selayang towards Selayang will be closed and all vehicles will continue to travel towards Luyu Road.
6. Jalan Kinabalu to Cheras (towards Cheras)
Sultan Hisham Mudin Bypass (towards Independence Square), Jalan Kinabalu from Jalan Cheras towards Silayang will be closed to all vehicles heading towards Silayang.
7. Kinabalu Road (Dato Onn Traffic Circle) (Jalan Kinabalu Bulatan Dato Onn)
Jalan Kinabalu Bulatan Dato Onn (Dato Onn Traffic Circle) towards People’s Bank from Banjara towards Silayang will be closed and all vehicles will be driven towards Silayang.
8. Kuching Road
Kuching Road from Silayang will be closed and all traffic will be diverted to Kinabalu Road (Bangsarai direction).
9. Dato’ Ong Traffic Circle (from Capitol Road)
Capitol Road towards Dato’ Ong traffic circle will be closed and all traffic will be diverted to Kuching Road.
10. Dato’ Ung Traffic Circle (from Sultan Salahuddin National Bank Road)
Sultan Salahuddin Road towards Daduon traffic circle will be closed and all traffic will be diverted to Kuching Road.
11. Tun Lee Hsiao Style Road
Tun Lee Hsiao Style Road from Ampang Road towards Tun Perak Road and Independence Square will be closed and all traffic will be diverted to Seremban Bar Road.
12. Jalan Hang Lekiu
Jalan Hang Lekiu towards Tun Perak Road will be closed and all traffic will be diverted to Seremban Road (Bank Negara Building).
13. Hankasturi
Hankasturi will be closed from Tun Tanjunglu Intersection and all traffic will be diverted to Seremban Road.
14. Jalan A. Rahman, Tunku Abdul Rahman
The intersection of Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman and Golden Horse Road (State Enterprise Ten Hundred Shopping Plaza) to Independence Square will be closed.
15. Jalan Raja Laut
Sultan Ismail Road and Raja Laut Road to Independence Square will be closed and all traffic will be diverted to Golden Horse Road.
16. Jalan Munshi Abdullah
Jalan Munshi Abdullah towards Golden Horse Road will be closed and all traffic will be diverted to Ampang Road.
17. Golden Horse Road (Jalan Dang Wangi)
Golden Horse Road will be closed and all vehicles from jalan bunus 6 will be diverted to Ampang Road.
18. jalan Bunus 6 (Jalan Bunus 6)
Jalan Bunus 6 will be closed towards Donggu Abdul Rahman Road.
