Proton sold 11,477 units in July, 4,763 of which were Proton X50s.
Proton sold 11,477 new vehicles in July, down from 14,787 in June, according to the company’s sales report. For the first seven months of the year, Proton sold a total of 71,061 new vehicles, an increase of 19.7% compared to the same period last year.
Proton continues to be the second largest car brand in Malaysia in terms of sales, with a 22.7% share of sales in July, compared to 18.7% in the first seven months of the year.
Proton managed to deliver 4,763 units of the Proton X50 and 1,704 units of the Proton X70 in July. 31,500 units of the Proton X50 and Proton X70 were sold in the first seven months of the year.
The new, slightly revised Proton Saga was launched in May and sales from May to July were 9,811 units, compared to 4,521 units in the previous month, July.
